Today's ink-jet technology brings incredible customization to artists, interior designers and apparel designers. From linen stripes printed to match a paint color to an entire bedding ensemble inspired by a child's art project, the possibilities are endless. Learn about recent developments in ink chemistry, and printed fabric manufacturing that allow designers to create their own private-label collections. Explore a variety of printing methods from hand-block printing to high-speed rotary printing and learn about the benefits and limitations of each. The third session will be hosted by Adaptive Textiles™ in West Chester, PA, where students will have the opportunity to observe the ink-jet production of their own digital designs.
