SHORT STORIES, EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, AND FAMILY LIFE: MAKING SOME CONNECTIONS
Sorry, this course has been cancelled. Please contact our office to see if it will be rescheduled, or if alternative classes are available. Course DescriptionThis interdisciplinary course draws on the new field of Emotional Intelligence (EI) to foster a better understanding of literature and the human desires and dilemmas that literature highlights and reflects. Exploring the emotions of the characters we read about, and studying the literary strategies the authors use to convey these emotions, will bring us to a deeper understanding not only of literature--but also of real life. A booklet of short stories and materials about EI will be distributed in class. |
