Course Description

This course provides a perspective from which students will better comprehend the total experience of film. We will attend two films during the session. Prior to viewing the films, you will learn what aspects to pay attention to such as dialogue, plot, sound, music, lighting, costumes, make-up, sets, editing, direction and acting. You will learn to record visceral impressions of the film and not edit your feelings, emotional responses and impressions. Between screenings, you will be asked to review movies you have seen on TV and read reviews in class. Reviews will be read in class and comments will be encouraged. This class is limited to 10 participants.
