Course Description

This seminar will analyze the root causes of the French Revolution and why it was so radical and bloody. Discussions will center on some of the differences between the U.S. War for Independence and the French Revolution. Learn how the Revolution unfolded from a pursuit of economic parity to the total dismemberment of French society and how the Revolution gave rise to one of history's dynamic figures, Napoleon Bonaparte.
